PA Prayer Alert - November 2006
Dear
friends,
We have just returned
from India. There is much to accomplish
in this nation, but God is working. He is working all over the world to advance
His Kingdom in advance of His return. We must do all we can to be part of
advancing His Kingdom in the wake of the opposition that will come in these end
times. The Book of Revelation makes clear that effective ministry will
increase in unprecedented ways in the end times with multitudes too great to be
counted coming to Christ (Revelation 7). However, fierce opposition will also
arise as we are seeing all over the world in places like the Middle East,
India and the Sudan.
We must press forward forcefully by being empowered by the Holy Spirit like the
church in the Book of Acts.
I will return to this in a little while, but I want to
encourage each of you to vote and get as many Christians as you can to vote.
Above all pray that God will have His way in crucial elections highlighted by
the Gubernatorial and Senate races.
It has been Kerry’s and my privilege
for the last three years to serve with the US SPN, now the US Global Apostolic
Prayer Network. In recent days, we have increased out ministry in other states
and outside the country. As a result, we do not possess sufficient time to
fulfill this important task. As a result, we have contacted Chuck
Pierce to let him know that we are resigning our position. I
will email one last time to let you know who Chuck appoints to this position so that you can
contact that person if you want to continue to be part of the ministry. We are
blessed to have been part of this ministry and have met many wonderful people
who will continue to be friends. We are still interested in Pennsylvania and will
continue to minister in the state as the Lord leads and opens meetings. We are
still available to minister in your churches and region. You may contact us at
john@kquestministries.org or at
717-968-0766.
One key we would like to
pass on is that the church must walk together in unity. Tragically, the church
in PA has been divided along ethnic and theological grounds. We feel we can do
this because there are so many churches. However, we must put these minor
distinctions aside so we can fight our common enemy and so we can advance the
Kingdom of
God. We do not have the
luxury of going it alone. Our society continues to spiral downward while the
church grows in number and decreases in influence. We must get it together.
This is not about us, it is about Him and His Kingdom. Please pray about this
crucial issue and do what you can to walk in unity with other congregations. If
we can be of help, let us know.
Again, let me say that
It has been a great privilege to serve you and our state these past years.
CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR REVIVAL IN PA. IT IS OUR ONLY
HOPE.
John and Kerry Shuey
