John and Kerry Shuey have been married over 30 years. They have two daughters: Kristin,who lives with her husband Andrew and their daughter Addison in Nashville, Tennessee and Allison, who lives with her husband Adam in St Louis, MO.
John, who gave his life to Christ while in junior high school, graduated from both Shippensburg University and Bethel Theological Seminary. His early Christian training came from groups as diverse as the United Methodist Church, the Navigators and the Christian and Missionary Alliance, where he served for over 20 years in a variety of roles including youth pastor, evangelism and discipleship pastor and senior pastor. He also served for nearly eight years in a variety of ministries with Christ Community Church in Camp Hill, Pa.
Kerry, who received Jesus at the age of ten, was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She has also benefited from a wide range of the Body of Christ, growing up in a Presbyterian Church, meeting Jesus in a Baptist church, attending a variety of other churches, as well as serving with the C&MA. Kerry graduated from Taylor University and the Child Evangelism Fellowship Institute. She taught school in the United States and England, and served as a county director for Child Evangelism Fellowship. During their time with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the Shueys served on the C&MA’s National Prayer Mobilization Task Force. One of their responsibilities as Task Force members was to facilitate Prayer Summits including two with missionaries in Gabon, West Africa.
Currently John and Kerry serve as Directors of KingdomQuest Ministries which is committed to “Igniting the Body of Christ in cities to unite to in order to advance the Kingdom of God together.”
They have served as past Coordinators for the United States Strategic Prayer Network for Pennsylvania and currently serve as Northeast Representatives for the Church Prayer Leaders’ Network. In these roles, they connect prayer networks, train intercessory prayer teams, consult with local church prayer ministries, and assist regional churches to bring transformation to their cities.
They have traveled extensively outside the United States, having ministered in Austria, Belgium, Cote d’ Ivoire, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Gabon, Germany, Holland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Liberia, Nicaragua, Norway, Slovakia and Slovenia. They have recently been spending most of their time in Asia. They have developed Kingdom Advance Schools, which help Christians develop afoundation for Kingdom living with the goal of helping multi-denominational groups of leaders develop strategies to reach their cities for Christ. Kingdom Quest desires to then help these leaders bring their dreams into reality. Kerry ministers to women in a variety of ways.
The Shuey’s are currently developing Kingdom Advanced Schools Level 2, which is designed the help leaders develop Christ-like character and to give them tools that will assist in develop effective strategies to win cities, regions and nations to Christ.
John and Kerry have also been privileged to minister deliverance for over 25 years, currently through their manual Breaking Free To Your Destiny. Breaking Free has been used in seven nations and may soon be translated into several languages.
