When a manager leaves for a while,  and puts the office staff in charge, the last instructions given are the most important.  Right before Jesus ascended into heaven, He told His disciples,” But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)  Jesus told them (and us) that He wanted His followers to proclaim the Gospel to every part of the earth.  He also told them how they would multiply to make this expansion possible. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
